The vegan fashion label Ella & Witt was founded three years ago as a start-up in cooperation with VUCX and Lyno GmbH. The brand's products are developed with high demands on quality, sustainability, durability and design. The materials used are either recycled or bio-based and are all 100 percent free of solvents and animal components.

The original idea and inspiration for the label come from a sanctuary in Dormagen. That's where the gander "Ella" and the cow "Schneewittchen" aka "Frau Witt" live. They are the namesakes and the impulse to produce stylish shoes without any animal components.

The Branding

 

Developing your own label is probably the dream of every creative team. From the conception of the brand to logo design, brand manual, content development, social storybook to media and PR, we were able to develop and implement our ideas of a vegan shoe brand.

From the beginning it was clear: Ella & Witt is in competition with numerous other vegan labels. This made the phase of brand identification and research all the more important:

Who are the competitors, how do we differ from them, what does our target group look like, and where can you buy our shoes? Only then did our team deal with finding a brand name, logo development and the look and feel of the brand. It was important to present the brand as sustainable and vegan, but at the same time in line with the fashion zeitgeist.

The Brand Identity: MAKE A CHANGE

 

The key features: Ella & Witt offers high-quality, sustainable and affordable vegan shoes and fashion for urban fashion lovers.

And with heart and a social approach: sourcing the best, 100 percent vegan materials ethically without concessions. Production under fair conditions in family-run factories in Europe that share the brand's credo and attach importance to sustainability and environmental protection.

All of this pays off in turn: Among other things, we support the Weidetiere Zons with our proceeds.

Social Media Strategy

For small start-ups, social media plays a particularly important role in the communication mix. Communication in the channels is not particularly cost-intensive, access to the various target groups is relatively easy compared to other media such as print, radio, out-of-home or even TV. On the different channels, customers can be informed, convinced, entertained, supported in the decision-making process and you can easily enter into dialogue with them.
