Print Design Hero

Paper has a different effect than a screen. Someone holding a brochure or flipping through a catalogue spends time with a brand instead of scrolling past it. As a print design agency, VUCX creates printed materials that make the most of that time: clear in content, consistent in design, and planned to be production-ready.

Services at a glance:

  • Brochures, flyers, catalogues, business cards – from concept through layout to print-ready artwork
  • Trade show and event materials – roll-ups, booth graphics, giveaways and supporting materials for on-site appearances
  • Editorial design, ads and packaging – editorial formats, campaign ads and packaging design within the same brand system

Where print design starts at VUCX

A flyer that doesn't match the website, or a catalogue that reads differently from the latest social media post: inconsistencies like these stand out, especially in print, where nothing can simply be clicked away. That's why VUCX doesn't develop print design in isolation, but in close coordination with graphic design and corporate identity: a flyer follows the same grid system as the website, a catalogue uses the same visual language as the current campaign.

From concept to print approval

Every print project starts with the question of where the material will be used: at a trade show booth, in a sales conversation, in a mailbox. That determines format, paper choice and structure. Next comes the design work with all editorial and visual elements, including final artwork and print data preparation according to the printer's technical specifications. This also includes converting the colour space from RGB to CMYK and a colour-accurate proof before printing, so the final result looks exactly as approved in the layout. Editorial formats such as customer magazines or ads work closely together with content marketing whenever editorial content is needed rather than pure layout work.

Print and packaging as part of one system

For products with their own packaging, print design doesn't stop at paper. Labels, folding boxes or shipping cartons follow the same design system as brochures and catalogues, so a brand stays recognisable from the shelf to the brochure. For this interface, print design works together with packaging design, for example when a product catalogue uses the same packaging visuals as the packaging itself.

At Hauraton, VUCX put this connection into practice for a sustainability campaign: an 8-page A4 brochure conveyed the topic of sustainability consistently, in both content and visuals, across the landing page and social media presence. At MAXXIS Europe too, print and digital design guidelines were part of the project, ensuring the brand voice works across every touchpoint.

Frequently asked questions about print design agencies

How does a print design project run at VUCX?

It starts by clarifying where the material will be used, the format and the print run. This is followed by concept, design and final artwork, wrapping up with print-ready files according to the specifications of the respective printer. For larger projects such as catalogues, an additional review round with the client is built into the process.

What does a brochure or catalogue from VUCX cost?

The price depends on the number of pages, the amount of imagery and the complexity of the layout, as well as additional services such as copywriting or photography. After a short briefing, VUCX puts together an individual quote. A rough estimate is already possible during the initial conversation.

How long does it take to design print materials?

A single flyer is often production-ready within 1 to 2 weeks, while a multi-page catalogue takes 4 to 6 weeks depending on scope. Trade show materials with a tight deadline are prioritised. The exact timeframe is defined at project kickoff.

Does VUCX also handle the print production itself?

VUCX delivers print-ready files according to the technical specifications of the respective printer. On request, VUCX also supports coordination with the printer and proof approval. The actual printing runs through the printer chosen by the client or recommended by VUCX.

What's the difference between print design and graphic design at VUCX?

Graphic design covers the entire visual brand communication, both digital and analogue. Print design focuses specifically on printed formats such as brochures, catalogues and trade show materials, with their technical requirements around paper, printing and finishing. Both areas work closely together within a project.

Does VUCX also offer updates after the first print run?

Yes, templates for brochures or catalogues are built so that later updates, such as new products or prices, can be made without much effort. Expanding into additional formats such as ads or editorial pieces is also possible afterwards. VUCX handles the technical adaptation to existing print templates.
